‘This the range and recent’ reception

“this the range and recent,” a group show of recent work by four Vassar students—Rhys Bambrick ’11, Joseph Redwood-Martinez ’11, Charlie Warren ’10 and Russell Webner ’11—will be on view in the Palmer Gallery from Feb. 24 to March 4, 2010. “Up to and including the limits of exchange” was a barter-exchange scenario organized by Redwood-Martinez for the opening reception of “this the range and recent” on Feb. 25th, 2010.

Vassar students experience Haiti before and after earthquake

Four Vassar students traveled to Haiti during Winter Break and ended up being a part of one of the worst natural disasters the small country has seen in over 200 years. Photos by Jared Augenstein, Nicole Krenitsky and David Bridgman-Packer.

The Skinner Greenhouse is home to the plants of the Building and Grounds Department.  Originally built in the ’50s, it was used to store cut flowers. Now the College uses it to grow herbs for the dining hall and annuals for the flower beds around campus, according to an interview with Head Gardener Martin Pinnavaia.

‘Rent’ to be one of first off-Broadway performances

“Rent” has created quite the buzz around campus, as Vassar will be hosting one of the first-ever college productions of the famous Broadway musical. Below are photos from the production, taken by Kelley Van Dilla ’12, the show’s set designer.
